Design 1948 - One-Tonner


Quite a few boats were built worldwide from this design. I could at least 11. This image was sent to us from a blog follower from New Zealand. She was built of wood by Salthouse in 1968.

  1. This boat in the picture "Panther" was built for Ian Lichenstien, who raced it in the NZ One Ton Cup series, but it was beaten by Chris Bouzaid, who went on to win the World One Ton cup.
    I owned Panther for about 15 years and raced it regularly.
    It was then sold to a person in Napier.
