Design 1813 - Circe

Not to be confused with design #852, this Circe was built by Robert E. Derecktor of Mamaroneck, New York. She was launched in 1966. While the arrangement and equipment are typical of a motorsailer from the period, every effort was made to obtain the sailing performance of an ocean racer. Weight savings through the use of aluminum construction was a help in achieving that goal. The owner's design brief listed just three objectives: speed, comfort and handsome appearance.

Here are the plans.

LOA 65'-0"
LWL 47'-0"
Beam 16'-0"
Draft 6'-0"
