Design 212 - Onkahya

This big 60' yawl was built by Franklin G. Post & Sons of Mystic, Connecticut and launched in 1938. This is a big volume cruising boat.

  1. Sailed on Onkahaya during the 1970 SORC. She had considerable updates including all aluminum spars for her sloop rig, large Barients throughout, an Edson pedestal steering system, B&G instruments and up to date navigation electronics. She was warm, dry, powerful, fast and a pleasure to sail. Her name is Huron for "Sweet Water."
