Design 2391 - Osprey

Osprey really was the first of a long line of big motorsailers and ushered in a new era for the firm. She was built by Stephens Marine of Stockton, California. She is all aluminum, and was launched in 1983. Osprey was designed to be capable of world cruising, and easily sailed with a minimal crew.

Here are a couple of magazine articles that tell the story. Please double click for zoom.

Here are the plans. It's a great arrangement.

LOA 95'-11"
LWL 76'-0"
Beam 23'-0"
Draft 10'-0"
Displacement 205,067 lbs

  1. Bruce,

Note that the interior of Osprey (now Cavu) was designed by Joseph Artese......you can see this in his use of signature beveled corners and angled bulkheads......There are some pictures of Cavu on Joe's website....
