Design 2410 & 2410-C1 - 85' LOA Ketch

This preliminary design for a large aluminum ketch was prepared for the owner of Evrika, design #2245. The boat was never built. The year was 1980. It's strange but the design database shows a design #2410-C1 the following year built of fiberglass for a different client. There is no mention of where she was built.

Here is the general arrangement plan.

Principal Dimensions
LOA 84'-9"
LWL 60'-0"
Beam 20'-0"
Displacement 55,568 lbs
Sail Area 2,820 sq ft

Curious that design 2410 weighs less than FLY, which is some 25 feet shorter, and 6 feet narrower.

  2. ...make that 5.25' narrower. I think #2410 is about the most strikingly gorgeous hull ever drawn by S&S or anyone else, and FLY is no slouch in the beauty department, either.... I'd love to see #2410's appendages updated, and a rudder for her drawn without a skeg. I see no draft listed, but she must draw at least 11 feet....
