More on Petrel (ex-Wakiva) - Design 220

One of our designers snapped these images at Martha's Vineyard Shipyard last week. They are of Petrel (ex-Wakiva), design #220. The word on the street is that she is about to be shipped to the Pacific Northwest for restoration.

  1. Petrel had been at Ralph Packer's railway in Vineyard Haven MA for about 4 years. This past week, she was layed on her side to facilitate removal of the keel, centerboard, mechanism and framework. Other parts of Petrel were removed to be used apparently, in a new yacht. Latest information indicate the hull has gone to the apres vie.
