Design 2211 - Trojan Eagle

Trojan Eagle was constructed of aluminum by Steel Yachts & Launches of Aukland, New Zealand and launched in 1974. The design is a development of Inca, design #2131. As such please reference those drawings for profile and interior arrangement.

Reviewing the material we have, I can we used the rig plans for Tantara, design #2176.

  1. We've owned Trojan Eagle since March 2002. She was built by Wanganui Steel Boats Ltd (now defunct and maybe taken over by Q-West?) and launched in 1976. So some of the details here need to be corrected. The photos show her on our/her mooring in Beeches Bay, Waikawa Bay, New Zealand soon after we bought her.

  2. I now own Trojan Eagle. For the second time, having previously owned it in the 1990s. The hull and sail plan are exact copies of Tantara, the designated design number is a result of changes to a full length cabin trunk and a modified keel. In the last 18 months the boat has had a major refit and a complete new paint job. Unfortunately due to ill health, my use of the boat is limited and I am hopeful I can find Trojan Eagle a new owner.
    cheers John Webber, Maraetai, NZ.
